Melanie Banville is a member of the Canadian Women's Gymnastics National Team. She finished 2nd overall at the recent Canadian championships and was a silver medal winner at the Pan-Am games in Santo Domingo.

Melanie will be an important part of the Canadian Olympic Team heading over to Athens for the 2004 Summer Olympics. In order to get there, Melanie will train every single day (in addition to attending high school). The costs of her training and her travel will be significant, the majority of which will have to be borne by her family.
